Known as the world's northernmost 36 hole golf course, Moose Run offers the Creek course (par-72 and a massive 7,324 yards) and the Hill course (par-72, 6,499 yards). Considered by many golfers to be the best golf course in Alaksa, partially due to its eccentricities: certain times of year you can tee off at midnight. Green fees are in the $30-$35 range and watch out for grizzlies.

Just 42 miles from Anchorage, this Anchorage area golf course is considered the most scenic golf course in Alaska. Bordered by the Knik Glacier and the Mananuska River, towering mountains and enormous glaciers surround this par-72, 7,125 yard course. A small airport is located near by, and if you call the pro shop in advance, they'll pick you and your clubs up right on the runway. Green fees are modest, $20-$30.

Flat, tree lined fairways provide some precarious tee shots here. Also quite scenic, Settler's Bay Golf Club is pretty much par for the course in the Alaska golf experience. The green fees are in the $18-$30 range, which is well worth it as the course is well-maintained and challenging. It measures 6,596 yards from the back tees.
